Ventana Construction LLC See above in this conversation for the answer to the size. I believe we fabricated these from the same material as the countertop, so it is granite slab.
Ventana Construction LLC Good question. In Seattle, tile showers of this size including a mud-set plan usually range from $3-4k, depending on tile selection. Glass surrounds are usually in the $2500-3000 range. Plumbing fixtures, rough-in and trim for two shower heads can be $3k and up. Total cost would be somewhere between $10-12k, assuming nicer but not luxury tile and fixture selections.
meryllee Like the style a lot, don't care for the chrome. I'm going to build a very similar shower but with seats against the pony walls and will put the valves on the front or edge of the seat so I won't get sprayed while turning on.
When was this framless glass shower installed (year)? - I have a similar bathroom and NY contractor says that the glass will need a frame on the top. Thanks. »
Ventana Construction LLC Hi, thanks for your inquiry on this project. The tile in the shower is Pietre 2 Todi. The shower pan is 2x2, the walls are 16x16. Matte finish.

Why did you let them put the sliver of tile at the base. - The colors, the lines, the glass and the walls are all incredible but the sliver at the bottom of the shower is such an eye sore. I guess because I am an installer it stands out. You or your guests have probably never noticed it. It really doesn't take too much away from your beautiful shower. »
Ventana Construction LLC Thank you for the complimentary words about the overall design and materials. This project is 5-6 years old and I don't remember the exact reason why it was set this way, but I can assure you that we did not just "let" it happen. We always have a tile layout meeting on site with the owners, the architect, the tile setter and our staff to look at all of the layout options and make decisions.
brad85ram Ha ha, I understand. I guess I thought i was talking to the owners when I commented on this not the construction company. This is a beautiful shower. Is it an optical illusion or do the bronze accent pieces near the top protrude? That is a neat look. I meant no insult about the tile placement. Now that I look at it, it does look way better at the bottom, the top is a bit more of a focal point because of the half walls.
jenha1 Thank you for the info. I love that shower. Is it easier to take care a polished tile wall than a matte finish one. Is it out date to use polished tile nowadays. Thanks.
