Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects Thanks for the compliment. The windows are steel and were custom made by a local welder in Austin.

BR Interior Designs HI, these look like individual panes of glass to me because of how deeply set the glass is into the mullion. They would most definitely be made of tempered glass for safety. There are a number of energy saving glasses available for this type of application which is important, especially in Texas heat.

I think I like most of this. the brick in the inside of the fireplace feels weird with that mantel, but the floor and ceiling and view is nice. Weirded out by the wall sconces / lighting. And I am curious to see what the designs on the ceiling parts are. Thanks for dropping this in the ideabook, Amy!

The family room anchors the back of the house and is designed to take advantage of the valley view. The painted beam ceiling is inspired by among other places the UT Union Ballroom ceiling. The floor is reclaimed wood laid in a herringbone pattern.
