I personally have used a product from Bright Green (they have a listing on Houzz) and you can build the size you need by attaching a few of the modules together. Super easy and DIY! You plant these modules up, leave them horizontal for about 5 days to settle and then attach them to walls by hanging them just like a piece of art. They also have these water reservoirs that attach to the top to help trickle down water. All the modules have little holes so the water slowly goes through the entire vertical garden. Go to their listing/webpage and you'll get lots of info about it. Succulents and hen's and chicks work really well but I've also grown ornamental grasses (Carex comans 'Bronze') that cascade down like little waterfalls...similar to what Debora Carl has done on her beautiful "living art" piece. You could absolutely do something like this for an herb garden. There is a product called wooly pockets that would be an easy way to start one. Vertical gardens can have a variety of plant materials in them as long as they are well watered. Some of the succulents do well (like the photo example) because of their unfussy needs. There is also Elt living walls that will give you other options for growing on walls. I hope this helps. Can anyone that has used a living wall on an interior wall comment on potential problems with moisture (e.g., mold, mildew behind the living wall)?

The succulents are planted into a grid-topped box with enough earth for the roots to grow down and hang on. When planting one of these, you keep them horizontal until the plants are secure.

When you've got to do some pruning or other gardening chores to this piece, the falling debris is going to need to cleaned up immediately. This may also motivate some bugs to move in AND most bathrooms are pretty dark when the light is turned out, which might be tough on the plants. This is a very cool vertical garden.

Love this garden!! I am working on a "green" bathroom and had an idea of a vertical garden then came across this picture. Perhaps I could create something
smaller in scale and use some air plants. This is beautiful living art!!

Does your bathroom have any natural daylight - from a window or skylight?
Would having this allow space for towel bars and hooks?

While I think this would be a great feature of a larger bathroom - I don't think it would be appropriate for a typical/small space.
