I recently made these curtain panels to save $ by hot gluing two curtain panels together. Custom curtains of this size would have cost a fortune, so this was my way of trying to add balance to this 2 story family room, while saving $ at the same time. I love the end look.
Love the fireplace! How much wider should the stone be than the firebox? - My firebox opening is 36" and my ceiling above is about 10' on a slant down. My room is small and I want to make it as narrow as possible (I'm trying to fit a chair on either side) without it looking too tall and skinny! Thank you for your help! »
I love your chairs. Can i ask what brand or where you got them at. Also do you have 2 couches or is one a loveseat. I am in process of trying to furnish my room and the layout looks just like this. The one thing i' don't like about mine is that there is no wall separating the kitchen and great room (some plans have 1/2 wall) so you see the back end of the couch. I thought about placing couch against the opposite wall so that the room is completely open from the kitchen but family doesn't like that idea so much. Your room really is beautiful. »
This room is beautiful! We recently moved into a house with windows like this in our family room, and I want to do panels hanging from the top like this. Amazed at this idea that I would be able to do by myself and not have to wait because of the huge expense! Can I ask how you were able to hang these and install the rod? »
Beautiful, warm & inviting room!! I too have a two story family room with four French doors. It tends to lack warmth & coziness so I can really appreciate the decor of this room!! Would love more info about the window treatments!!
