Amazingly we have had to laminate the bedposts because there is no sensible way of drying timber of this width, height and weight. You learn something new every day! The oak is then finished with a natural lacquer, almost invisible to the eye, which protects the timber and prevents it getting marked. Slats We scoured the UK for a manufacturer of a slat system like this and failed, so we have had to go across the Channel to France to get them. They are slightly sprung, have two central legs for stability and are incredibly easy to put together. Our delivery guys reckon 20 minutes is what it takes to assemble our beautiful beds in your bedroom.
