Developed by a master craftsman with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. The patent pending Flip-In’ Hinge is designed to allow a cabinet door to lift and recess into the interior of a cabinet with one fluid motion with the assistance of a gas spring. The gas spring assists opening and holds the door in the open position until manually closed by the user.
Originally manufactured in Brushed Stainless Steel (Sold out original version, discontinued) it is now manufactured in Black Anodized Aluminum.
The minimum door height for operation is 16" and this height clears many of the most popular small kitchen appliances that would be stored in a typical fashion.
Technical information and full scale drilling templates for installation are available. Our product installs easily by attaching the pivot & rocker arms to the back of the door and the base plate to the interior of the cabinet then attaching the arms & base plate together with a couple of screws. Then you simply pop on the springs and away you go. You can also contact us via email for assistance as necessary.
One nice feature of this hinge is that it reduces, by half, the amount of door still protruding from the cabinet by utilizing the full depth of an upper wall cabinet. The other flip-up retractable door hardware currently on the market typically leaves 2" or more of space from the door to the back of the cabinet when fully recessed into the interior of a cabinet, not to mention the possibility of scratching the face of the door itself during operation or damaging the hardware by closing it prior to having the door fully forward and out of the cabinet.
