Waterfront Bungalow

When we started this project, our client requested that the interiors reflect a waterfront home without displaying the overt visual statements of a beach home. We began with selecting a color palette that spoke to the exterior of the home: blues, greens and lavenders.

In the main living area, we chose Linen to upholster the furniture because of its texture and relaxed feel. We created a quiet presence that reflects the waterfront view by pairing the linen with natural fiber rugs and distressed accent furniture. We added to this feeling with the use of interesting light fixtures that were hand crafted by artisans. The bathroom features mother of pearl mosaic tile and a sculptural shell mirror, both offer a subtle beach feel. The finished home is a relaxed, comfortable environment that is truly a beach oasis.

This is similar to the layout of your 'bar' idea and the French doors...
