Beautiful! Lighting question, please. - Could you please share if you have overhead recessed lighting to augment the sconces? If so, how many, what size and wattage did you use, and how far from the mirrors are they placed? Thank you! »
Arch Studio, Inc. Thank you for your interest! Yes- there are 2-recessed lights for general lighting at the center of the room. They are compact fluorescent fixtures at 26 watts each. Hope that helps. There are also 2-13watt CFLs over the tub.
Arch Studio, Inc. These are wonderful windows by Eagle Windows (which I believe owned by Anderson Windows now). They are exterior aluminum clad and the interior is primed wood that was painted.
Love the bathroom! - Do you have a photo taken that looks straight toward the shower door? I would like to do our pony wall like this with sheetrock, trim, and marble and would love to see how the builder brought the surfaces together. Thanks! »
Arch Studio, Inc. Thank you so much! The cabinets were completely custom fabricated, and the maker is now retired. The paint color is Benjamin Moore's Cotton Balls. Good luck!
Love the entire bathroom. - I have similar layout with oval window above oval tub, need to redo the shower and like the open concept...is there any details on the glass enclosure and tiles. Love the marble floor, can an upstairs bath hold the marble with regular flooring...is the floor one piece and surronded by tiles?
LOVE IT »
Arch Studio, Inc. Hello-and thank you for your comments and interest in this bath! The glass enclosure is a frame-less style installed by Road Runner Glass in Fremont. All of the floor and wall tiles are Calacutta 3/8" thick and 12x12 tiles except the center pattern on the floor is a 3 inch hex. I have attached my drawings of the bath for clarification.
Lovely bathroom, did you use regular faucets for the sinks? - How pretty! Would you be ever so kind to tell me if you used regular, wall or vessel sink faucets? I have just ordered regular mount faucets and saw these great sinks and wondered if the faucets I ordered would work with these kind of sinks? »
katey5212 So kind of you to answer! I purchased regular mount faucets in pewter, so they probably won't work here. I have some stunning counter/bath surround marble ordered and these sinks show more of the counter so I was thinking it would be a great answer, but unfortunately I am deep into it at this point and will have to just go with what I ordered and under mount sinks. Thank you for sharing though, I am sure it will help a lot of people. This bathroom is exquisite! You know what I like the best? The negative spaces (like beside the sink). The places where you didn't tile, or add wainscot mixed into where you did. Those are the little touches that make the project shine! Also like the various tile sizes and combinations. Well done!
Love the design, what paint color did you use for the walls and trim? It is perfect with the marble. I am doing the same marble and am struggling to find the right paint color.
Thanks so much for your help! »
Arch Studio, Inc. The size of the bath is about 8 ft. wide and 16 ft. long. The shower and water closet are outside of these dimensions, but that is a rough estimate.
Beautiful room! - Could you please tell me if you have overhead lighting to augment the sconces? If so, how many, what size and wattage are they? I fear the 60 watts sconces won't be enough light. Also, how high up off the floor are the sconces? Thank you! »
Perfect design! - How wide is the mirror frame at the bottom and is it more narrow than the sides and how wide is the side mirror trime? How high are the sconces? Love this! »
