A view of the natural stone slab steppers & New England fieldstone retaining walls/terracing. These steps lead to the middle waterfalls and floating stepping stones that lead through the middle pool that eventually will bring you to the upper falls & spa. Take note of the boulder details. I have installed lighting every few feet just under the stone coping. This is the first season for the plantings. The walls will be softened as the plants mature. You can see the ipe & mahogony deck in the distance. This project is located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Landscape, swimming pool & masonry design & build services in the NY & NJ areas.

Bordering water features: For water features that are intended to look very organic and natural, you can't beat the impact of boulders. These rocks are often mortared around the edges of ponds as well as to create waterfalls or "rock walls" on the edge of swimming pools.
