Glass block showers stylish? - Love seeing the glass block in this shower. We are facing a remodeling question. We have a beautiful curved glass block shower in our guest bath..we are updating the flooring and wall tile to travertine and our contractor thinks we should remove the glass block and put in clear glass panels. What do you think? »

The good thing about the glass blocks is they add more privacy and don't show the water spotting (and they are also available in colored units). The other thing that's nice about the glass blocks is that you can make a curved wall much more cost effectively than curved glass (you'll see a picture below of this).
The advantage of the clear glass is you'll be able to see your tile work and plumbing fixtures better and some people think it's a sleeker look. So the key question is what is more important to you and what do you like better?
