Fran Kerzner- DESIGN SYNTHESIS The arch is constructed in wood and plaster and the thin split face travertine stones are applied the same as you would any tile. This one reaches all the way down to the countertop but I have done others that go only to the upper cabinets. The small cabinets below are real and pull out for spice storage. A custom venting system is inside the arch.
