- My collages are about moments.
- In any given moment, for any individual, there are layers of experience that inform that moment. This human condition is reflected in my collages. The layers are not all visible, but you still experience them. The hidden layers create a richness that otherwise would not be.
- My work is spontaneous. I surround myself with an abundant variety of handmade and appropriated paper. The layers are formed by instinct, not intellect. At the same time my collages are influenced by what is available, they also reflect my life experience and observations.
- I am inspired by unexpected beauty and the patina of time; texture imposed on the manmade by time and the elements. I am compelled to express my interpretation of this inspiration, to document moments in time. When I create, all is right in my world.
