I was on the river on the east coast of Florida, just as the sun was sinking below the horizon. The last rays of light were striking the trees and the sky had a beautiful watercolor cast.
This piece has been licensed and reproduced as wooden wall decor. You may have seen it on One King's Lane or Josh and Main. This is the original painting.
I painted with a palette knife in a technique I developed and like to call "color weaving". This gives lots of texture to the piece and subtle changes in color. The canvas sides are painted black allowing it to be hung with or without a frame.
