Robin Rigby Fisher CMKBD/CAPS I am gad that you like this project! It is one of my favorites. The cabinets are by Decor Cabinets out of Canada. They are Alder and are glazed. No veneers. Solid wood fronts.

Mary Rose Dizon I like the way you sloped the upper part of the fireplace. Do you think the fireplace design would fit nicely in a room where there are single french doors on both side? Its the only place where we have a gas point.

Apropos Design, Inc. / Green Home Design Source Sounds good to me. Just remember there are code restrictions about combustibles above fireplaces so your mantel is dependent upon what it is made of. This instance looks like non-combustible.
