The fountain was purchased it from a wonderful local nursery. It produces just the right amount of sound as the water falls from the urn. Some fountains have a much higher sound level. That would have been disruptive with the dining table in such close proximatey. On the other hand, if you are in need of drowning out noise from neighbors or a nearby highway, a fountain that has a higher volume or drop would accomplish that for you.
