Love the side table! Any idea where I can find a similar one? - Interested in the name of the side table -- looks like a great size for a small space »
gontarde1 Nice paint color. I've just painted my son's room with Blue Danube by CIL from Home Depot. It's quite ice, but I had originally wanted to use Take Five from SW. Is this actually Take Five? I thought it would be to grey on my walls, but it's a nice color. Thinking of redoing it to get the right shade.
The Red Jet Hi! That's actually a canary yellow vintage vinyl/steel chair I picked up at a thrift store. (I'm actually thinking of selling it, I just got a new one!)
Make your computer do double duty as a clock. This bold, modern computerized clock works especially well in a room with mid-century touches, but the large type would complement a variety of interior schemes.
If you're in love with a light fixture or a sconce like this one, but don't have the option to hardwire it, install it near window or door trim, where you can often staple the wire and even paint it so it blends in a bit.

There's ample sunshine in this room throughout the day, making it an ideal place for her computer. With a cozy bed close by, I'd probably get more naps in than emails! I'm sure it takes a bit of self control from time to time.
This metal pendant adds vintage modern style to this room. Because the nightstand is right under the window, a table lamp would have made opening and closing the window and its shade cumbersome. The wall-mounted sconce is a good solution.
