Anne DeCocco I think anything that keeps the door open is a candidate to become a doorstop. In our house, my grandson's doorstop is a very odd little stuffed bear. I made it for his mother many years ago when she was tiny and I was bored. We call her Mrs. Bear and she watches over him at night. The smallest details in a room can trigger a happy memory!
The Red Jet Head to your local building material recycling center (or junk/thrift shop) and look for anything heavy with an interesting shape, A coat of spray paint in a bright color and you're good to go! Mine (shown) is an iron newel/fence post top I found that I painted yellow.
Annie Thornton This question was actually answered by the designer/owner of this space. Luckily for you, it's from IKEA! "It is a LINNARP from Ikea. They don't have it in this finish anymore, but I think they have them in black and red."
The Red Jet Oh and I forgot - the black shelves are vintage. They are very easy to find though, there are usually many for sale on ebay. I have 7 of them!
There's no better way to make a space feel like home than to have a tightly packed bookcase, along with a graphic print of the city you call "home" on the wall.
Blues walls with the white furniture(more distressed look than this though) and white trim combined with an earthy creamy color linen- maybe one darker wood accent piece to tie in the blinds?
