Create a cozy game room out of your living room. Make it look smart with bookcases for tons of books. Place a 40- to 50-inch table in the center of the room. This will allow for 4 to 6 chairs for playing board games. I prefer a pedestal table to squeeze an extra chair in. Use comfy leather chairs for long hours of play time or reading.
A cozy table for four lets the library double as a fun game room for everything from a snowy-day Monopoly game with family to late-night poker games with chums.
Create a game room and library. Transform a spare room into a game room and library. You could have card night and use the space to read a book or play a private game of solitaire.

Study AND dining room! Great ambiance. Dining room becomes a room that is used more often than just mealtime. Could also use this dual use space as "home management centre".
I'd keep the bookshelves. I love their color and the clean lines that match the chairs. I'd change the chairs into one armchair of a brighter color, though, to match my room.
