Glenna Partridge Garden Design I believe those are cut flowers from the Sea Holly plant (eryngium). It's a perennial that's easily grown in full sun and the flowers are unusual. The flowers last in the garden for weeks and these are probably either dried and preserved or possibly fresh cut. The arrangement is stunning and is beautiful in the room. I'll be adding this to my ideabook as well. Love everything in the space! I hope this helps.
EW: This home tour leaves me wanting to paint all of my doors and trim black!
CE: Black adds an air of sophistication and elegance and makes the space feel polished and more refined.

this is more traditional staircase but something about it appeals to me. it may be too bulky and take up to much space visually to do something like this though

Skinny banister bars and the black coloring allow these stairs to remain untouched while still meeting the modern decor of the home. This could work well for those wanting to do a renovation, but aren't sure how the staircase can be tied into the new decor.
