All of our furniture is made from sustainably harvested solid wood at our plant in the Town of Durham, Ontario, Canada. Durham (population 2,500) is nestled amid rolling hills, forests and farms, along the Saugeen River about 150 kilometres (93 miles) north of Toronto.
Durham Furniture employs about 200 craftspeople who work in our century-old red-brick factory. We are a tightly knit family spanning multiple generations dedicated to making fine furniture in an environmentally sustainable and ethical way.
Our products include traditional, transitional, contemporary and cottage styles, and are sold by fine furniture dealers across North America. Durham Furniture is featured in exclusive luxury hotels and in countless beautiful homes across Canada and the United States where it is passed down from one generation to the next.

Chateau Fontaine CollectionThe Chateau Fontaine collection of bedroom furniture evokes the era of 19th century France when the absolutism of the monarchy gave way to the rise of the Citizen King, Louis Phillipe. Perhaps the most distinctive element of the Louis Phillipe style in furniture is the wide ogee mouldings (called doucine) used under tops and as bases on cases. These mouldings were often curved on the sides as well, giving a sense of flow to the tops and mouldings. Feet and brackets terminated in scrolls. Hardware was used sparingly and consisted primarily of metal escutcheons or keyholes on the faces of doors and drawers which are generally inset, rather than lipped. Its clean simple lines defy categorization which is why it seems both sophisticated and country. This collection is a testament of the craftsman&rsquos art and is equally at home in both formal and more casual décor. The Chateau Fontaine collection is available in our 25+ finishes.
