This beautiful family room has a magnificent view of the Columbia river, cherry wood built-in cabinets, and a custom made hand-knotted Tibetan rug. The leather sectional, ottoman, and comfy lounge chairs provide a relaxing spot for conversation, viewing the river, or watching TV in front of the fire. The mirror above the fireplace hides the flat-screen TV. television.

Does the mirror flip up or is it a 2 way mirror? Where can I find? »
Emery & Associates Interior Design We had the "mirror" custom made in 2007. I did the specifications, and the audio/visual people created the framed mirror and glass. The TV is a flat screen plasma screen, set back in a recessed space, with the "mirror" mounted flush with the wall, and a fan in the cavity that operates when the TV is on to keep the heat down. It does NOT flip up--the glass is a special type that you can see through when the TV is on. The fan pulls air from the recessed space into the fireplace vent space. You can duplicate this idea by going to a reputable audio/video company in your area.
