JOHN DANCEY Custom Designing/Remodeling/Building Yes crepe myrtles. When you want a canopy don't trim heavily. There is a huge difference between trimmed and not.

The Shabby Nest Benjamin Moore's Treasure Trove is a similar yellow, and try Ben Moore's Mayonnaise for a similar trim color.

Like that the porch is low and without railings makes it more open and inviting. It is craftsman without being too in your face.
