Innovate Building Solutions Leah- a good way to do a shower like this would be to begin by getting a waterproof expanded polystyrene shower base - these bases can be preformed to accomodate for the glass block wall - and are easy to work with as a DIY person.

I would them recommend you consider prefabricated glass block shower wall panels vs. buying them block by block. The reality is it's pretty difficult to lay a gradual radius like this if you're not experienced at it so I would recommend a design where the wall can be premade - but still gives you the walk in design.I'm going to include a link below where you can find videos for the ready for tile shower bases (some are even barrier free like this project) and also information on doing a DIY installation of the base and the wall. Curved shower, not next to a tub. What I like about this design is it appears the controls are offset to the shower head. You step in, turn on the controls without standing under the shower spray until it gets warm. Nice.
