Fire Pit Codes - It seems you have no formal way of venting / exhausting your fire pit out from under the enclosed structure - i see a chimney but where is it caputuring the exhaust? ceiling level? We are currently working on a project where the hood design has gotten extremely controversial and expensive. How were you able to have a pit under this roof with no hood within a few feet of the flame? and is that a wood burning or gas fire pit? »

However, there was a hood at ceiling level. You can see it in the other picture in this album and it was a gas fire pit. We like this for under the deck and having a dinner table outside of the space but still under the deck and maybe in front of a bar area like the next photo.
