EW: Every room of your house contains something you have made or customized in some way, and in very good taste. Could I dare say creativity is one of your strengths?
TS: I love being an artist and finding inexpensive decorating solutions is my passion. Here in my bedroom I wanted it to design something masculine enough for my boyfriend to feel comfortable and something a bit feminine for me. I upholstered the headboard in brown velvet and of course trimmed it in upholstery nails. I made the cornice as well.
Tina also employed Bourgie as a reading light, this time in the chrome version. This is a woman who knows how to play with texture, and the metallic lamp emphasizes the reflective qualities of the wallpaper.
For smaller bedrooms, select a headboard, fabric and other furniture that are even darker than your wallpaper. This will make the walls appear lighter than they actually are and the room won't feel so small.
