No same material - funny distortion on picture. Face tiles ran to edge. Niche tiles butt into them. Important that your tiles are finished on edges. If not, a miter might work if the tiles are thick enough.

Two issues to consider the tile and the installation. It supposedly is factory sealed and I would follow the recommendations of the manufacturer. Stone is used all the time in wet areas. Keep in mind that grout is porous as well. You should use proper installation techniques as defined by the tile council of America (TCA). They have many assemblies for different structural and backing conditions.

Michael Tauber Architecture This is Ann Sacks Luxor Gray tiles that come in 1.7 x 17" lengths as shown, as well as mosaics and 8.5 x 17 sizes. This bathroom actually has all three. The floor tile outside of the shower is the 8.5 x 17, the shower floor is the mosaic and the wall tile the thin strips. it is stone.
