red bench provides a dash of color, the pebbles at the niche add texture. The glass shelves are set in from the face of the stone tile for a clean look.

The rover rock is very colorful. Is it the nature color? »
Michael Tauber Architecture Csonntag - not sure which tile you are referring to - there are three in the photo- the ann sacks luxor grey tile (the field tile) are 1.7 x 17, the red tile is 2 x 8, the river rock is on a 12 x 12 mat.
Thanks for the question,
Michael
Ronnie Edwards II The Tile on the bench is glass, correct? What manufacturer? SICIS, Walker Zanger, Trend? Definitely interested in the manufacturer if it's ceramic.
slnewt Lover your shower!!! So does the silicone stick to the niche wall and the glass so you don't need to cut/drill into the niche walls to install clips to hold the glass? I assume you need to hold the glass somehow while the silicone sets. Where can you buy structural silicone?
Michael Tauber Architecture Don't know where to get it but I'm sure a glass fabricator in your area would know. I suggest you discuss it with them and/or your general contractor.
Michael Tauber Architecture No these ones are not - they are sitting in a channel and are tiled in.
I am finishing up another bathroom with glass shelves and they will be held in place with structural silicone, so they can be removed if need be.
Thanks for your question

bkbynum How big are the glass shelves? Are they tempered glass? I'm having a difficult time finding a glass company that can make smaller tempered glass shelves.
Can a corner be symmetrical? In this case the answer is yes. The orange bench, controls, and even the stone joints in this shower create a balanced symmetry on the diagonal. Only the inset shelf is not mirrored above the corner. When seen from another angle, this bathroom is anything but symmetrical.
What a feature! This corner bench is obviously the focal element in the shower. When planning your main design points, a shower niche should not compete with your space's design. The use of glass in this niche makes for a subtler look.Tip: Glass is usually affordable. But make sure you order your niche shelving with other glass items to get the most bang for your buck. If you're using three shelves in a niche, ask your contractor to order four. It's always nice to have a backup in case something breaks.
Niche, accent bench: I think it's too high for us, but the right shape? Also, what about having it and niche in that spot? Is it convenient or would stuff get too much water
Thanks for the question,
Michael
