European Farmhouse Tambour Round End Table
Whoever said an end table has to be a boring old square has clearly never seen the European Farmhouse Tambour Round End Table. There's something both surprising and comforting about this unique piece, and it might have something to do with the finishes. Both are hand-rubbed to enhance the curly grain of the ash burl veneers and carefully lacquered with as many as seven coats of premium luster. As an added bonus, various distressing effects like fly specking create a lived-in mood. Plus, you'll get your choice of colors: the terrain finish is a hand-waxed coffee color made vivid by the hand distressing, while the blond is a natural tone with a cream-colored accent glaze. With a body of Dutch white cedar, this round end table has ogee-edge molding along the upper lip, along with scroll shaping that might remind you of antique European pieces. Carved vertical supports frame the curved cupboard door, which is dotted with a ring-and-rosette pull. Perfect for storing wine and spirits or even extra blankets. Groups perfectly with other pieces in the European Farmhouse collection. The European Farmhouse CollectionEach piece of this unique European Farmhouse collection looks and feels like a prized antique store find, those once-in-a-lifetime discoveries that give your home its unique character. Eclectic accents and colors blend and complement each other like old friends, without being too matchy. Hand-waxed colors like dark coffee, chalkboard black, and honey blond enrich the Dutch white cedar veneer. Run your fingers across the silky sheen to feel the authentic antiqued distressing, then tickle the Old-World dangle pulls as if this furniture has long been part of your family.Stanley Furniture CraftsmanshipStanley Furniture's main objective is to produce quality and stylish furniture by using the best wood materials, construction procedures, and elegant finishes on their products to help you fashion your home decor the way you imagined. All of their furniture is hand-crafted from quality woods, incorporating other superior materials such as aluminum, glass, plastic, leather, and marble. Every joint is carefully constructed (keeping wood's sensitivity to heat and humidity in mind) allowing for expansion and contraction. All joints are held together with glue and nail.Stanley's 30-step finishing process starts with an undertone stain that is applied to a hand-sanded piece. Next, the stain is sealed with a wash coat, then hand sanded again with filler applied to pack the wood pores and smooth out the surface. A sealer coat is then applied, the piece is hand sanded again, and hand padded to mellow the tone. From there, a luster glaze is rubbed on by hand, followed by antiquing or distressing also done by hand. Finally, after drying, each piece is hand waxed and rubbed prior to final inspection.About Stanley FurnitureSince 1924, the goal of the Stanley Furniture Company has been to manufacture high quality furniture at a price the average American family could afford.
