I don't think there is a house in San Francisco that I don't like but this one takes the cake for me. It's a huge home in a city where big houses are rare. It's got neat modern touches like an aluminum roof. The chimney hints that there is a fireplace inside which is always a plus for me. And of course it has this lovely view of the San Francisco Bay.
I find myself stumbling upon this house again and again. It steps down the hillside, seemingly defying gravity and mother nature, and provides amazing views. The careful choice of materials is what makes it so beautiful to me.
Cliff, trees, ocean view...even the materials reflect the level of the home, with the bottom reflecting the rocky land it is anchored to, and the higher wooden-clad stories blending into the trees.
