An uncluttered room isn't easy to accomplish for most of us. Especially when little nicknacks are given as gifts on special occasions. I often tell my clients to take a few boxes and remove all the clutter from your space, saving only a few stylish items. On each surface, one or two items that look like they were placed there on purpose to add to your rooms stye is enough .Put the boxes in storage for a few months. When you re-open them ask yourself " What do I really need to keep?". Put those things in a display case or curio cabinet and put the rest in a yard sale or back in storage. This works because you disconnect yourself from these items for a while and you are not so attached after living without them.
