The mooda is a traditional low stool handmade in India from the Sarkanda plant. The frame is created with the stalks of the plant which are aligned in a criss-cross construction and tied along the spine. Jeverdi, a twisted rope used to secure stools and weave the seat, is created from the plant’s leafy covering, known as moonj grass. They are extremely lightweight and surprisingly durable. Individually handmade, please allow for variation.
