kristinnicholas Well thanks Barn Light People for helping out. The lights I purchased are copper and handmade and look a little finer than this example. I think they were $350 each about 13 years ago so they must have gone up by now. I must say though they are a real pain to clean the inside of the globe b/c I have to go up on a ladder. So I just don't bother to clean them.
Lighting - Because I have high beamed ceilings... How do you think I could get that effect with the lanterns? Maybe stick a nail out and hang with string? »
Two years ago the couple built an upstairs addition, which now serves as an informal dining room and seating area. The high ceilings and painted wood walls make for a bright, airy and inviting space. Paper lanterns hang from a wood beam in front of a gallery wall filled with original artwork by Kristin and daughter Julia. A collection of painted chairs is gathered around the table.
Color ExplosionsI'm not talking about a pop of color. A home that explodes with color looks daring and infuses the senses with excitement, like Skittles-induced thrills. Case in point: This antique house (here and in the previous photo) doesn't just have splashes of chartreuse throughout. The homeowners painted an entire wall with the color and blanketed the rest of the house with bright citrine, cobalt blue, scarlet and tangerine.

Hope that helps! Happy New Year!
I think this may be the company I purchased them from.
