bepsf There's a huge hood over this stove - it's within the archway that's above the stove and has the 3 pieces of art on the outside ledge...
...it's just difficult to see in this photo since it blends in with all the white cabinetry.
This cart is on wheels, so you can easily move the extra counter space around the kitchen to where you need for cooking. Bonus design points: The red rolling island cart matches the backsplash and oven.
A farm-style island and checkerboard backsplash both play off of the kitchen's color scheme and add to the casual feel. Above the stove, a trio of artwork introduces even more color to the space.
I adore this farmhouse-style rolling island, which looks like a well-loved and well-worn piece of furniture. The rusticated red legs (an easyish DIY project) work beautifully with the amazing stove and the checkerboard-pattern backsplash. I especially like the contrast created by the vintage-looking rugs.
Red in the KitchenRed adds warmth and coziness. This eclectic kitchen uses red to bring together a retro stove and backsplash, an island with a country vibe and a rich Oriental rug.

I love how fresh, bright and pretty this kitchen is. A homey, vintage feel that pulls me in and makes me think I would surely smile the whole time I was in there fixing, creating and cleaning up!
