Colleen Ladouceur I found a sink like that in the bushes at our cottage. A tree was growing out of the drain! I cleaned it up and we are going to install it into a butcher block counter top in our new cabinets this summer! A few chips but they only add character. I found the same faucets as in the picture at Home Depo!

A gingham tablecloth brings a romantic country feel to any kitchen. It works especially well with floral window coverings in a retro cottage, keeping the room feeling breezy and light. The shorter textile lets the white legs of the table show through, implying that this table may not be be concealed all the time.
Accessorize your vintage kitchen with colorful teapots, bowls and wares from the thrift store. In this space, a checkered tablecloth also adds to the accent colors.See more photos of this cottage
1. Soft colors. The cottage palette is usually light and airy, and kitchens follow suit. It's hard to go wrong with crisp, classic white, but soft yellow, pale turquoise or light khaki all look fresh and appropriate as well. Or try a mix of cabinetry colors: one shade on the island with a contrasting hue on the cabinets.
