Kelly Porter Measure the exact height of your wall to determine the number of stripes that will work and how wide each stripe should be. I suggest painting the entire wall white first (try Pure White by Sherwin-Williams). Then use a ruler and a level to mark-off the area for the blue stripes. Use a light pencil to draw the lines. Tape along the lines with painter's tape to mark the "blue stripe" areas, then paint in. A similar blue to try is Refresh 6751 by Sherwin-Williams.
1. Keep your true colors. It's not just the water temperature in your wash load that can fade your clothes. If you stuff your washer full to the brim, the clothes rubbing against each other abrades the fabric's fibers and leads to color loss. Keep it loose — your clothes will get cleaner and stay brighter if you don't overstuff the washer.
19. Painting colorful stripes in your laundry room is a quick and inexpensive way to make a dreary space feel a lot less drab. Houzzers also liked how the storage bins match the ironing board, and how the designer installed a hanging bar underneath the wall shelving.
Hang it up. A hanging rod is a great solution and keeps your ironing needs down. You can take clothing right from the dryer and place them directly on the hanger instead of wasting a step folding first.
