Please see comment below - I don't prefer the misrepresentation of this photo indicating that there's space for additional pots inside behind the pull out with the door open. »
Parrish Construction There actually is space behind the pull out for additional pots, when you pull the drawer forward. It makes good use of the dead space in a blind-corner cabinet. More functional than a lazy-susan in my opinion. Rev-a-shelf makes one variety and there are other brands, as well. Ikea has reasonably priced, interior cabinet lights with motion sensors. http://www.rev-a-shelf.com/rev-pages/product-listing.aspx?CategoryFilterID=12&SubcategoryFilterID=14
Parrish Construction Yes, I believe you can. I would only put items I don't use as often in the back of this brand of pull-out, especially if you put taller pots in the front. Rev-a-shelf has a style that brings the back drawer forward much further and would be easier to access items used daily.
mcmai just went to ikea to see their version and it is even more functional, rotates then glides all the way out. but only one size available. they do have new very cool motion detector led battery-powered for retrofit in cabinet lighting.
uhoh_busted Great idea if you are stuck without big deep drawers for your pots and pans. My mom had them in her kitchen back in the late 70s. We redid our own kitchen in the mid 80s and made sure to include some when we chose cabinets. Fortunately, the house we bought when we retired to NC 6 yrs ago also had them, but I need to get those glides for another base cabinet as I hate not having such easy access as I get from my drawers.
1. Clean out your pots and pans. Scrub cast iron with a soft sponge and coarse salt, then rinse away the salt. Stainless steel can in fact be stained by heat and hot water. Remove stains with a soft cloth and white vinegar, then dry with a clean cloth. Never soak stainless steel pots and pans because the surfaces will become pitted.
Home supply stores carry shelves that allow you to utilize every inch of cabinet space. They often come in wire or wood and are easy to install.Top picks:Ikea's Rationell pull-out waste sorting trayThe Container Store's bamboo roll-out cabinet drawersRev-A-Shelf cabinet organizers
Consider a drawer-cabinet combo. Your intervention could be installing shelves that combine the best attributes of drawers and cabinets, like these deep shelves that slide out like drawers, or installing a lazy Susan in the corner. See more ideas for corners of the kitchen
