Institutional modern-landscape

The mass plantings of the highly secure interior courtyard of the Institute are like thick brushstrokes in a painting. The combination of bamboo and a variety of grasses offer sustainable xeroscape landscaping that continue the clean lines and the simplicity of the architecture. In the midst of the minimal architectural space, the landscaping occurs in layers with repetition in material, form and color. Planting is used in pots as accents of color and form, and along with other built forms, paths for movement and spaces for gathering are defined. (Designed while with MLA Landscape Architecture).
