Color ideas.....? - I have a tiny little galley kitchen with very little counter space. Plans are to remodel with new flooring, lighting, counters and cabinets. I would appreciate suggestions on how to make it look (and feel) larger. Which colors should I use and which should I avoid? Thanks! »
The Virginia House Lighter colors will for sure make it look bigger. I know when we heightend our cabinets then it made our whole kitched seem bigger because it drew the eye up. Vertical stripes can also add height. I think paralell stripes make a small room seem larger as well. But it can also ring true that the less is more. If it gets too busy it can make the room seem smaller. Try to keep it simple and un cluttered. Have one or two statement pieces. Just my thoughts though:-)
The Virginia House The darker color was already there when we moved so I don't know what it is, The cream is called "Milk paint" and it came from lowes.
Hello! I love the nursery, can you tell me where you got the futon? Thanks - Hello! I love the nursery, can you tell me where you got the futon? Thanks »
sarahhomeremodel Did you have to paint it? If so, tell me how!! I have an existing piece of baby furniture that I want to be this same color with the white and exposed dark underneath.
This baby's room can do double duty as a guest bedroom when outfitted with a spare bed. Keeping the décor neutral and sophisticated in cream and beige stripes prevents guests from feeling like they've been annexed to a romper room.
