If I could wave the magic wand and create my ideal "outdoor space", it would have a water view. I would awake each and every morning, sip a cup a coffee, wake up the kids at a "reasonable" time (ahem, after 8am) and read the newspaper with a picturesque, water view right in front of me. That is the dream.... But alas, that will have to wait for a different time and space. Instead, I live in the San Francisco, bay area. Here, land is sparse and "that" view is not an option. Instead, I am left with a courtyard that has a ton of potential, and a shoebox back yard. It is fun to think up what can eventually be done with a small space and a limited budget. Until the economy comes back, I dream!
