Querini Stampalia Foundation modern-hall

Querini Stampalia Foundation

In the early 1960s architect Carlo Scarpa transformed the ground floor and courtyard of the Palazzo Querini Stampalia into the Querini Stampalia Foundation, a major cultural complex in Venice, Italy.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

In one corner of the exhibition hall, a travertine door opens to a space that leads to the stairs. The shape of the door recalls the radiator enclosure, meaning that Scarpa created a world of details that he repeated to give consistency to the project. As we'll see, that does happen again, but the tactic didn't limit his expression.
