Jesse Gines Ten inches? Lol. You mean 10'. The look about 8' and it should cost about $500 in materials the labor would cost the most. I would charge about $2000 including materials.
getwilde Per OP, the total wall length is 16' 6" (including another stack of beds to left of stairs). Assuming standard Twin-size mattresses, bed berths are approx 6' 5" long, walls/posts are likely 2x6 construction (so 6 1/2" thick), which would leave around 31" for the ladder -- give or take a few inches. Depth of berths is probably around 3' 6". Ceiling height appears to be 10 ft.
Dawn Cain Lot's of young adults with small spaces have loft beds in their apts and some colleges still use them. I imagine you could do this and use two double beds as opposed to singles. It may feel like a cave for the person on the bottom though. I love love this idea!!
designstar1 go to rugs direct .. they have it in two colors or search the web for rugs with circles. The color displayed in this picture is the Autumn by Amafi .. it comes in teak and ocean also.
How do you do a stair/ladder like that code wise? - I have a loft I thought I could do a similar ladder style stair to, but the local building department would not buy it! I am an architect, also! »
