When you say engineered.....I'm not sure how that's different from let's say prefinished, solid wood.
My understanding was that engineered has a very thin top layer that can't be sanded or refinished.
Are you telling me....it was pre-finished with the french oak, sanded and stained....beforeit was laid? My understanding is prefinished = solid, stained and finished before it comes to me.
Engineered is also.....but inot SOLID and can be sanded and refinished at a later date if desired.
