Laura Hayes_Efe @lolander: Usually, the dirty clothes are in the baskets. As I wash, the baskets get emptied, I use them to put folded clothes in and cart them around from there to put the clean, folded laundry away. Of course, dirty laundry would not have made a pretty picture, so this photo shows a freshly washed and folded load of towel and sheets.
@dytecture: It's a really small laundry room, so there was no option for a shelf at that height. I did put shelves in several other places, which work really well, but one at that level would have prevented the washer from opening. The hooks are really chunky and sturdy as are the laundry baskets. Mine are plastic, but you could use wicker, metal or whatever....btw, my plastic baskets have been up for 3+ years and haven't deformed or broken yet, and I load them up pretty good! ;-)
Lanteri suggests looking into getting a custom iron cover made. "You can get a custom cover with your favorite fabric without spending a lot of money," she says. "Hang the board on cute black and white hooks from somewhere like Anthropologie. It will actually add to your decor, rather than detract!"

I love everything about this. SIMPLE. Open, and useful. Seems like plenty of space, and the hung laundry baskets are my favorite. The laundry BAR is the only thing I'd add
