Beyond the large butcher block topped island is the new cooking area. An angled corner was created to support the new Wolf range and an oversized decorative hood.

What color is the island stained or painted? - I love the color of the island and would like to know is it painted and glazed or stained and what are the colors used? This would be perfect in my kitchen. Thanks for your time and attention. »
Tim Wood Limited I would think it is iroko or teak solid timber oiled. Get some samples and oil them. The timber once oiled changes colour considerably, over time it also darkens. It needs some TLC{ "tender loving care"), so if you want a spotless work surface with no effort or possibility of marking, this may not be for you?
If you like the look and are willing to give TLC then , play with some samples for a could of weeks in your existing kitchen. Much better to throw a sample away, than regret the decision!

Every work surface has pros and cons.
