Lisa Hudson You can always find a high-quality reproduction if you don't want to spend a small fortune on lighting. LexMod carries the flush mount and the pendants. I have two of the pendants and they're beautiful! http://www.lexmod.com/p-3903-20-caboche-style-ceiling-fixture.aspx
Add a seat. Trying on outfits can be tiring. Provide seating, even if it's a small built-in bench to try on shoes, or drape rejected clothes items on. This custom tufted version with the small chandelier above is trés chic. I feel glamorous just thinking about getting dressed here.
Don't forget about your closets! (Who doesn't dream about having a divine closet like this?) Recessed, overhead lighting tends to work well in a large closet space. Make sure you have adequate light to see everything — but also flattering light that actually makes it fun to try on clothes.
3. Glam up your lighting. Chances are, you've got a bulb light or a really boring flush-mount ceiling fixture. Here recessed lighting combined with a glittering Caboche Chandelier were used. If you have room, replace it with a small chandelier, a jazzier flush-mount or a drum pendant. I found a chandelier on sale at Neiman Marcus' Last Call for $60 and replaced the depressing light in my closet, and it makes me feel like a star. Just be sure to check with an electrician to make sure the lighting you choose is safe and meets safety codes.
Hang mirrors. The reasoning behind this is obvious, but do note: You don’t need a huge walk-in closet for this tip to be applicable. Hanging one on the inside of your closet door will also do the trick.
