Love the shower glass wall, was it custom? - I am looking to remove some of the walls in my large shower and replace with shower walls. However, I do not want a shower door. Is this shower wall custom sized? Does the track at the top affix to the ceiling in order to keep it in place? »
M3 Renovation Services kirb: the panel should hold up ok in 12 feet but please consult with a professional glass company first.
Jacques: there is a lot of room for ventilation of the one panel to the ceiling and even if you get a door, the door will not go to the ceiling any ways but it is always a good idea to check with a glass professional with your drawings before you start any work.
Maggie Riley What I like about this one is that it could be a tiny bathroom (like ours) - if the wall was next to the sink, but the nice materials give it a lovely organic luxury - Warm, Organic, Contemporary style.
Christine McCarter I would like to know that as well! I am renovating my bathroom and had to change a lighting situation...Instead of next to the mirror why not above the mirror!
katydidu That is the only place I see it. No one local has it in Maryland! I would like it for the bathroom floors and shower. But would like to have the 2x2 tiles in the shower floor which i don't see on this site. Did you get your floors from this site online? Also do they look gray / silver? many "silver" labeled floors have been looking beige when i get the sample. thanks!!!!
What size of room is this? - I have a half bathroom that is long and narrow I think this would work for me. I need to know how wide the room is.
This would really add value to my 40 year old condo. Thank you in advance for your help. »
Yarbro Home Improvement LLC Looks like you're closer to 60" wide. I'm assuming those tiles are 1' x 2 ' and the length of the room must be, as you stated, 7' plus the shower ( maybe a additional 3' ) assuming tiles are 1' x 2 '
PoshHaus All three major brands (Geberit, Grohe & Toto USA) of wall hung toilet flushing systems are dual flush. The industry term for them is "carriers". They are VERY reliable as this is a major method on installation in Europe, and growing across the world.
Geberit and others now even have the option for a 2 X 4 wall installation, where in the past 2 X 6 was always required.
Cleaning Tile Floor - This floor is beautiful and I am considering using this type of tile on my bathroom floor. Is there any problem with upkeep? Thank you. »
Kirsten Opple Vesely I am purchasing the 12 x 24 Gris linen tile for my bathroom floor and am looking for a tile for my shower walls that will complement it. Ideas?
benjijk I'd recommend the bamboo porcelain from Tiledaily. I found the print and pattern a lot better than the linen gris.http://tiledaily.com/2011/10/05/bamboo-pattern-porcelain-tiles/ also check out this link for a beautiful glass subway idea -http://tiledaily.com/2013/04/09/walk-in-shower-palos-verdes/
Prestige Custom Building & Construction, Inc. The vanity was supplied by the developer of the building. Unfortunately I do not have the information. I remember that it was made of maple.
ARED I'm pretty sure this is a Metro fixture in chrome finish. I've installed it many times. I always specify incandescent vs. florescent. I love this fixture for both traditional and contemporary bathrooms.
Tiles on shower wall - Can you tell me if the tiles in the shower are a split face mosaic tile or are they a bigger tile made to look like this? All of the split face tiles I look at are unsuitable for showers so not sure what I can or can't use »
How did you finish the wall that we cant ser? - Love this bath. I want to know how did you finish the wall that we cant see. I saw through the mirror that has some small tiles in the shower part. That goes all the way? Thanks!! »
Need advice - I have ceramic tile in my guest bathroom, but I would love to install a black vanity in place of the dark brown one we have now. Would we have to redo our entire bathroom floor or would the ceramic floor we have in there now look ok? The tile is a cream color »
I understand that the Daltile Fabrique Linen in Noir P689 tiles were used in this bathroom, but I am not sure if they were used on the shower wall at the end of the room. It looks a lot brighter. Did you used Noir tiles as well there? Would you kindly give me the name of the tiles on that wall if they are any different? Also, what is the maker of the maple cabinet pictured here? »
This large format 12"x24" tile has a linear, fabric-like design. It's used here to cover the walls and floor, providing soothing visual texture in a minimalist bath. Coordinating mosaic tiles wrap the curb and shower floor. Matchstick stone mosaic on the feature wall adds lightness and tactual texture to the room.
Smaller vanities and powder baths can also look fantastic with an open vanity! Imagine this space with a floor-to-countertop doors and drawers. It would appear incredibly closed in and lack style. By giving this vanity furniture-like legs and open shelving, you immediately get the feel of more space.
4. The linear tile in this bathroom points to the shower, naturally leading the eye to the bathroom's main focal point. Users loved the materials the designer chose for tile and the wood vanity.
5. Use a second tile choice to make a feature wall. Adding a second tile choice as a feature is a great look I see more and more these days.Be careful about using small ledgestone tile, unless you know your water does not leave staining on your tile. Ledgestone achieves the stacked-rock look — like on this shower wall — with the rough face of the stone facing out. The rough surface means that it's slow to drain, and water with a heavy mineral content will build up quickly. Here in Vancouver, British Columbia, the mineral content in our water would stain the rough surface of ledgestone in a few months' time.
