Kerstin Dieterich Designs Perhaps it is the perspective of the photo, but the reason for the big shower space is that this is a universal bath room- the shower space can accommodate a person in a wheelchair and a caregiver. The space is 6x8'. It has two shower heads, grab bars and a bench. There is no threshold.
I posted this to show that a highly functional space can also look nice. By the way, my clients were very happy with it.

RemodelWest Oh ok. We recently designed and built a universal bathroom as well. Much of the same features... curbless shower application, handheld showers, prep for grab bars etc. Our clients were very happy as well.

Looks to be truly wheelchair accessible if shower opening is wide enough and mirror should be lower. A really nice space.

Good space for wheelchair maneuverability. Like the grab bars in the bath area. Hope the entrance to the bath is big enough for the wheelchair to pass thorugh.
