Built in the traditional Eichler fashion, architect Craig Hudson left the front of the house relatively void of details. The home was designed in a classic ranch style that is simple, structural, and very indicative of mid-century design.
Of course, not everyone was building the Colonial. Some places, most notably California and Florida, witnessed a continuation of that desire to build the quintessential American house. A house that would be forward looking, accommodate a relaxed lifestyle and dissolve the barriers between inside and outside. These Mid-Century Modern houses are now cherished.
Don't like the white ceilings from the exterior of the house. Also don't like the choice of landscaping with this all white look- the combination makes this look like a pool house- too beachy. However, this does not scare us away from the use of grasses with our landscape plan.
