DeForest Architects That's for asking. Yes, they are rift white oak with a custom stain. There is a little bit of gray pigment in the mix that softens the ebony.
The white countertops (and backsplashes) are a quartz composite product called Chroma. See http://chromaquartzbypental.com/. We used the matte version which softens the bright white. It is highly stain resistant if properly sealed. the bar counter is wrapped in zinc.
love the look of the stools, but think it would be more functional to have hydraulic stools. The amt of natural light is great and makes the dark cabinets more appealing.

Kitchen color combinations are kind of interesting.Although cabinets are dark, light countertops brighten it up. There's our counter/bar concept also in the foreground!
