It's a glass tile, which is different than a glazed ceramic tile for example.This particular one has an iridescence more than some other types of glass tile.

The accent tile is only around the stove. Not sure how this metallic would clean with spatters. But the look is good, and the rest of the counter only has the counter material about a foot high.

Love the sparkly tile. The rest of the kitchen is a little modern for me. I could see this tile in a bathroom. Maybe used sparingly in a shower or something.
